Vacating of Alleys in plated village of Six Lakes

THE BELVIDERE TOWNSHIP BOARD AT THE REGULAR MEETING ON JULY 12, 2018 AT 6:00 P.M. AT THE BELVIDERE TOWNSHIP HALL, 107 VESTA ST., SIX LAKES, MICHIGAN at which the following resolution will be debated and voted on:

RESOLUTION TO ABANDON ALLEYS LOCATED IN SIX LAKES

WHEREAS, a plat map attachment to this resolution shows the alleys being referred to in this resolution, said alleys being the alleys of Plat of the Village of Six Lakes areas both the northern and southern east-to-west alleys of Sections 4 and 3, the north-to-south alleys of Sections 4 and 3, all of the east-to-west and north-to-south alleys of Sections 5, 6, 7, and 8, the southern east-to-west alley in Section 2, and the north-to-south alley in Section 2 in the Village of Six Lakes as shown in Exhibit A: Plat Map with highlighted alleys to be vacated.  The northern east-to-west alley in Section 2 will remain open.

WHEREAS, the above mentioned alleyways of Six Lakes are altogether abandoned and not used by the public,

WHEREAS, the abandonment and vacation of the above mentioned alleyways of Six Lakes will increase the value and commerce of the town and Belvidere Township,

WHEREAS, a meeting has been conducted with proper notice given,

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, Said alleyways and any attached right of ways or easements, or utility easements, or any other rights, are hereby forever abandoned and vacated forever and in perpetuity.  A certified copy of this resolution shall be recorded with the Montcalm County Register of Deeds to complete the vacation of the alleyways. THIS NOTICE IS POSTED IN COMPLIANCE WITH PA 267 OF 1976 AS AMENDED (OPEN MEETINGS ACT), MCLA 41.72A (2) (3) AND THE AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT (ADA).

                                                                                                                                        

THE BELVIDERE TOWNSHIP BOARD WILL PROVIDE NECESSARY REASONABLE AUXILIARY AIDS AND SERVICES, SUCH AS SIGNERS FOR THE HEARING IMPAIRED AND AUDIO TAPES OF PRINTED MATERIALS BEING CONSIDERED AT THE MEETING, TO INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES AT THE MEETING OR PUBLIC HEARING UPON 10 DAYS NOTICE TO THE BELVIDERE TOWNSHIP BOARD.
